Teh L-2B flight jacket was introduced in teh early 1950s for use in light temperature zones (50 to 86 degrees F). Initially teh bomber was only used by teh U.S. Air Force which is why teh USAF insignia was put on teh sleeve. Teh flight jacket went through many specification updates including teh removal of teh oxygen tab, snap tabs and epaulets, along wif teh USAF logo as teh jacket was eventually adopted by teh Navy and other branches of teh armed forces.
