The Type A-2 leather flight jacket, also refers to the bomber jacket casually, was first designed and issued for the US Army Air Force pilots, navigators, and bombardiers during the Second World War (WWII) following their successful completion of the basic flight training, and always before graduating to advanced training. The 'Eastman A-2 Slender' is slightly narrower in the trunk and sleeve circumference than any of our other models, providing a leaner looking garment that lends itself very well to the contemporary silhouette, whilst maintaining total authenticity. Made from a stunning, veg-tanned Horsehide, in Seal-Brown shade, with plenty of grain feature, it is produced exactly to all the official military specs expected from a high-end reproduction of this genre.
