About 3army Store
More than 30 years ago, our original shop, known locally as “基地”, opened on Sai Yee Street in Mong Kok, Hong Kong. What began as a small shop specialising in vintage military clothing, Military Surplus and military equipment grew from a genuine interest in the history, design and practical purpose behind military gear. Over the years, we have built up hands-on knowledge of uniforms, equipment and materials from different periods.
Today, 3army Store continues from that same foundation. Our range has expanded from classic military clothing and vintage pieces to tactical equipment, outdoor gear, military boots, backpacks, EDC essentials, watches and military-inspired apparel. Whether the purpose is collecting, outdoor use, work or everyday functional wear, our aim is not simply to offer more products, but to make the differences between them easier to understand.
From “基地” to 3army Store
Over more than three decades, products and the way people shop have changed considerably. The things we look for in gear have changed far less: useful function, durable construction, purposeful design and suitability for real-world use.
In 2018, we launched the 3army Store online shop, allowing customers to browse and shop at any time while keeping our Mong Kok retail store for in-person shopping, enquiries and pickup. The online store makes access easier, while the physical shop still gives customers the chance to handle products, compare details and better understand sizing and fit.
We do not see military, tactical or outdoor equipment as style alone. The era, intended use, materials and design decisions behind a product are often what make it most interesting and useful.
GI Vintage & Military Surplus
GI vintage military clothing and Military Surplus have always been among the most distinctive parts of 3army Store. Vintage military clothing is interesting not only for how it looks, but for what it reveals about the durability, function, materials and manufacturing priorities of different periods.
We continue to source government-issue (GI) uniforms, military jackets, trousers, bags and other surplus equipment from different eras and sources. Fabric, cut, hardware and condition can vary from piece to piece, and those individual details are part of what makes genuine vintage military clothing different from ordinary mass-produced apparel.
Classic examples include the M-65 Field Jacket, ECWCS Gore-Tex outerwear, USN deck jackets and OG-107 uniforms. We also carry military-inspired designs such as the G-1, A-2, B-3, B-15, MA-1 and M-51 Fishtail, giving customers more ways to combine military design heritage with modern everyday wear.

Different brands approach gear in different ways. Some focus on professional work requirements, some on outdoor durability, and others retain a stronger military character. Our aim is to provide clear product information and practical comparisons so customers can better understand those differences.
